It is a channel of the Bengal Media Corporation Limited. The head office of this TV channel is Karwan Bazar, Dhaka. RTV began broadcasting its programs around the world in 2012 through a live-online website. It runs at 4111H MHz from the 305 no channel from the APstar-7 76.5°E.

RTV Bangladesh History
At 10:30 a.m. on February 26, 2006, a fire broke out in the building where the RTV was located. The fire killed three people and injured hundreds more. The channel was temporarily shut down due to the fire. The same NTV channel in the building also caught fire.
